2004 to Present David Ferdinand is serving his first term as an elected official. Commissioner, Canyon County, Idaho and in his capacity as elected official he also serves as Treasurer of the Valley Regional Transit (VRT), Community Planning Association (Compass) Board of Directors and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee, in 2005 was appointed to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Steering Committee for Technology and Telecommunications.

David Ferdinand is founder of Century Companies, a communications consulting company located in Idaho, and co-founder of CommitteetoElect.net, a full-service Web based Application Service Provider (ASP) providing database driven web sites for all levels of political, public policy and non-profit organizations. CommitteetoElect ™ was developed as one of the elements spun from ElectionTalk.net, launched in the ’98 election cycle. Century Communications continues to function as a business development, media, production and image consulting company.

Most recently, David Ferdinand held the position of Senior Vice President, AudioCast, Inc. David Ferdinand was responsible for marketing, strategic alliances and business development as well as branding of all products and services. Ferdinand was instrumental in the development of AVflyer™ product lines, concepts and branding including the Web functionality and development. He serves on the AudioCast Inc. advisory board of directors.

Prior to joining AudioCast, David Ferdinand was sales and marketing director for CMP Media’s First-TV, the first 24-hour TV/Video network on the World Wide Web. Besides directing initial sales, marketing and advertising strategies, Ferdinand was instrumental in the start-up of First-TV and production of its premier show Fresh Click: Life Online.

Ferdinand also played a major role in marketing Life Online Radio, a nationally syndicated radio magazine focusing exclusively on the Internet.

Ferdinand began his broadcasting career in 1968 as a radio disc jockey, news director and then as a television anchor. As well as providing creative talent, he has worked in all facets of broadcasting including news and advertising production.

In the past three and one-half decades, he has held major marketing communications, roles, including product marketing, video production and as a producer of national and global radio, TV, newspaper, advertising and public relations campaigns.

David Ferdinand lives in Nampa, Idaho with his wife Peggy. They have three married children and five granddaughters that all live in the Treasure Valley.

Member – Nampa First Nazarene; Currently serves in the Contemporary Service Worship Band, Treasure Cove Band. Joined NFC after serving with a Gospel quartet for 5 years.
