After graduation from NNU, Curt attended two years of aeronautical school in the Seattle area. He went from Seattle to Fairbanks Alaska and flew the Alaska bush in Super Cubs, Cessna 180’s and other airplanes.
Curt spent one summer at Kotzebue (cot-say-boo) Alaska with Wein Alaska Airlines where he flew freight and Eskimos into the villages along the Bearing Sea in the old military Twin Beechcraft.
He became an airline pilot for a major airline where he flew:
Convair 440 twin engine piston airplane
Lockheed Electra 4 engine prop jet
BAC One Eleven twin engine jet
Boeing 707 4 engine jet
Boeing 727 3 engine jet
Douglas DC-8 to South America
Boeing 747 Los Angeles to Hong Kong
Curt also hold an airplane mechanics License. For the last six years Curt has been manager of the Caldwell Industrial Airport. Curt is President of IAMA (Idaho Airport Managers Assn.), an organization of all the airport managers in the State of Idaho. For the past 4 years and again this year, Curt will be the emcee of the Ontario Air Fair which takes place the last Saturday in Sept. |
